Obama sadly, wants this catastrophe to be big. He's using a natural disaster and possibly delaying in fixing it to try to push his "going green" cap and trade agenda. He wants demonize big oil rather than get help from European countries to fix the spill. And now he wants to take jobs away from the states that are being hardest hit by the oil spill by ending all offshore drilling. An oil spill happens once every 30 years. This President has failed to be an executive..all his really is a political litigator, not a leader.Why did Obama reject help from the Dutch to clean up the oil spill in the Gulf?Misplaced pride. When the Russian nuclear submarine, the Kursk, sank some years ago, the USA could probably have rescued all of the submariners except, of course, the ones immediately killed in the accident. Instead, Putin kept everyone away from it and those men died a slow death, all for misplaced national pride.
One wonders where Obama's pride was when he was bowing to people he shouldn't. And now he needs to swallow his pride, he won't?
I'd like to see the man get just one major decision right before his 4 years are up.

It was kind and friendly for the Netherlands to make the offer. But the US has plenty of resources and probably doesn't need another nation's help.
