How can Obama possibly protect American interests in face-to-face discussions with Ahmadinejad?

I watched Ahmadinejad yesterday give a speech and a press conference. He was fiery, cool and professional. How can Obama, who only came on the national scene in 2004, do well against a seasoned politician and world leader like Ahmadinejad? How can Obama possibly protect American interests in face-to-face discussions with Ahmadinejad?Because Obama, the messiah, will force Ahmadinejad to be "truthful" with him. Ahmadinejad will be unable to lie to Obama, as he has lied in the past about "peaceful" nuclear purpose's. Like he's lied about funding Hamas and Alidia. Like he's lied to European leaders.

No, with the messiah, he will have to be truthful and thereby Obama will disarm him and make him a "friend". (Please note the sarcasm throughout)

Obama chants "change", but has he ever actually changed anything? NO

Obama chants "yes we can", but can he say "yes we did"? NO

Has Obama ever, ever, voted against his party or challenged them in any way? NO

Has Obama ever written or introduced legislation with co sponsors of the other party? NO

How is Obama going to effect "change" if he has done none of this?

McCain has done each and every one of the above multiple times.

Country First, Not Last

McCain/Palin '08How can Obama possibly protect American interests in face-to-face discussions with Ahmadinejad?
Easy. They'll just push the button together, and WHOOSH....no more Israel. How can Obama possibly protect American interests in face-to-face discussions with Ahmadinejad? Not concerned or remotely interested in this issue.

Afer seeing the fiasco that has been the 2 Bush administrations, I have no doubt that Obama will do just fine.

We can't afford a 3rd Bush administration.
Oh and bush is doing well LOLHow can Obama possibly protect American interests in face-to-face discussions with Ahmadinejad? He'll do just fine.

He certainly won't write songs about bombing people.

Or suggesting that we kill people with cigarettes. How can Obama possibly protect American interests in face-to-face discussions with Ahmadinejad?
LOL. Do you think McCain who can barely find Afghanistan on the map or even better Sara Palin who can't even talk to the press like a big girl would get anywhere.

Obama is a polished attorney and a much better speaker than John McSame. He is also more educated and intellectually far superior to McCain who can barely speak better than bush.

Palin is dumb as a tree stump, barely passed going to the University of Idaho as a journalism major. She didn't even major in a real subject and she still barely got through.
Easy. At least he's willing to meet with him.How can Obama possibly protect American interests in face-to-face discussions with Ahmadinejad?
I think Obama will do well because he knows how to stay calm and collected while still being assertive. McCain looks like he could easily lose his temper.
The requirements of discussion with that vile man would have to be air tight for any American diplomat to speak with him.

Khamenei is the puppetmaster, though. Supreme Leader.
Hello! Ahmadinejad only came on the scene in 2005!

And he isn't even in charge of Iran's foreign policy. It is a farce that he is speaking at the UN. He only has domain over some domestic policy in Iran. He ain't the guy in charge.
I think that is the best reason right there. I rather have someone who is new to WAshington talk to an enemy, rather than have someone who has built up aggression and negative washington view points to talk with him.
Obama = cool and professional x 10!
Some of the biggest rookies in the world help protect our country. Those people are soldiers. Some are more seasoned than others but they all protect our country and you.
By remaining calm and collected, which is a lot more than McCain could ever manage.
Geez all I hear is about how great he is at being a speaker and he has all this charisma...I am guessing with those things along with his education (books and face to face education) on foreign relations he'll be just fine...I mean, he may not be able to swap baby stroies like Palin but he'll manage...

Chris I
any discussion will go like this--

Obama-- I have the audacity to Hope.

A_jad--- I have the audacity to build nukes.

O--- I will bring change to america.

A---- yeah, the change to end american power.

O--- Hillary has broken barriers for my daughters

A---- if they don't wear veils the only thing that will be broken is their bones.
Because they are both calm, cool and professional and i think they would get alot more done than if McCain came and just started yelling

Iran really does have a long history and they are a highly educated country i think only bush and israel are trying to push us into believing

they are a threat because Iran has never made any threats against the US and as far as Israel all Iran says is they want them to stop muderering women and children which israel does every day..whats to bad about that?
Barack Hussein Obama can' t and won' t protect American interests in a face-to-face discussion with Ahmadinejad because Barack Hussein Obama is not interested in America's interests and Barack Hussein Obama is a coward.

Because Obama is fiery, cool, and professional. He has the same quality (if not better) oratory skills. He's got a Harvard law education (graduated with high honors!), and was the first African American to write for the Harvard review. The latter demonstrates that not only does he have good oratory skills, but he also has good literary skills AND good diplomatic skills. (It's not easy to get a position at the Harvard law review, esp. if you're black.)

That and he grew up in a variety of different cultures, and he's already met with many foreign leaders - he's well traveled and has international experience.

I remember a while ago Hillary bashed Obama for having good speaking skills -- many fail to realize how important good speaking skills are for foreign affairs.
When people are prepured to discuss their problems with each other, there is hope those problems would be solved peacefully with some kind of dignity. This is better then war or other undignified practices. So as much experience Obama or Ahmedinejad have, the only question is, what kind of alternative there is.
Fiery, cool? Don't know that I agree with that. He looked and sounded like a psycho who was oblivious to the crap he was spewing. But I agree that Obama is not the one we need confronting that douche.
