Liberals are comparing Bush and Obama and attempting to hold power, is that real?

The primaries dumped the very progressive republicans you are comparing Obama to. This is small government, small program, debt control, privatization type of movement that is pushing republicans way right and back to the constitution. Away from nation building wars, away from lobbyists and programs like health care.



So that really makes the libs worry, but no one is voting for Bush type spending, vs. Obama type spending, this is about stopping all spending and shrinking that PIG.

He never vetoed any spending bill until the last months of his presidency. That what happens in primaries aren't what happens in broader elections.

There are a good many Republicans who aren't happy with the current nuts as candidates.

For one thing they have yet to explain how they intend to to have a good defense, with no taxes to pay for the military and its needs.

For another they have no alternative to the programs they wish to close down. And what will happen if their untried utopian plans for privatization fail to materialize.



Some want an end to all social programs, including Medicare and Social Security, where does that leave the eighty year old with diabetes? Think she can get a job at Wal Mart? If not, what then?



Those kinds of practicalities just seem to disappear from their plans and when asked they, like Rand Paul, tend to say things like they will tell you after they are elected. That's just not good enough.



You need to do more than make popularist pronouncements, and they don't deal with the realities that would hit this country like a ton of bricks, absolutely destroying us if they win.



Its not up to Obama, Pelosi or Reid as to if seniors get a COLA raise, the standards for raises are set by an agreeement set in 1970. This kind of ignorance is why so many don't know or understand what's going on and why they need to rely on others for their views.Liberals are comparing Bush and Obama and attempting to hold power, is that real?The liberals bis-a-bis the Democrats do not have any other weapon to use trying to keep their seats so they keep playing the blame game. The trio of Pelosi, Reid, and Obama is a real house breaker. To those of you that blindly think that Obama is sooo much better than Bush or vice versa, what exactly have they done that was so different? Both

-escalated wars in the middle east

-spent loads of money we don't have

-intervened in every aspect of the economy

-grew government

-expanded government health-care

-lied during their campaigns

-governed with ignorant ideological slant

-ignored reality

-destroyed the dollar

-caused massive unemployment

-bailed out banks

-bailed out other companies

-and screwed up the economy for years to come

What we have is a backlash against free spending government... And rightly so.
