Why does Obama not look directly at the camera when he speaks?

I'm an Obama fan. It's refreshing to have a president who thinks before he speaks, but why does he move his head back and forth and not look directly at the camera?

If you are talking about the press conference last night, he was directing his words at the reporters in the room. When you answer a person's question it is only polite to look at them while you speak. If you are generalizing his rally's, he is trying to make it more personal by making eye contact with the audience.Why does Obama not look directly at the camera when he speaks?Teleprompters are there and he is also speaking to an audience usually...so he is "scanning the audience" as he speaks to make it look like he is talking to everyone.



When asked a direct question, he usually looks at that person.
Actually he does look directly at the camera unless there is an audience. Yes, it's called teleprompters on either side of the podium.

It's set up that way so it looks like he's looking at the audience.

Obama is the opposite of every lying president that ever DID look directly into the camera.

Beacuase there no need to it may distract him in some way.
Obama is unable to get to the point on all subjects so he needs the teleprompter to keep his talk short and to stop him from saying UM, UH, DUH.....
Because's he's pretending to look at the crowd while reading off the teleprompter.
Because he is lying and he knows he is. He can't look us in the face while screwing us.

No im not kidding. watch some of the older debates when they had the camera angle behind him, youll see the teleprompters.



if you watched him as he was taking questions last night, when hes off script you also get alot more Uhhhhs but he looks at the person asking the question
He uses a teleprompter.

There's a lot more than one camera there.
