How would Obama or McCain affect the military?

What changes would Obama make in our military to cut spending? How would service men/women and their families be affected?

Please no sarcastic answers. I really want to know how the next administration will affect my family since my husband is in the Air Force.

How would Obama or McCain affect the military?Not only will Obama end the winning campaign in Iraq which would eventually make iraq a democracy, he will also drastically cut national security. This means less coast guards defending our shores making us susceptible to another attack like 9/11. Think of it this way: when you hear things on the news like "man attempts to bring bomb on plane but is caught by officials" Well, there wont be any officials around or not as many and that man might just make it on the plane next time. How would Obama or McCain affect the military?

Obama wants to cut the military's funding. So no matter how he is going to cut off funding it will still greatly affect all branches of the military. McCain wants to fully fund the military and ensure that ALL promises are fulfilled to the troops in turn for their service. Obama calls for a strong military, yet Democrats in the House (Barney Frank) are calling for 25% reduction in defense spending. This to pay towards Obama's domestic programs.How would Obama or McCain affect the military?
There was a poll taken by serviceman, and overwhelmingly they were for McCain. As McCain said the surge is working and he will keep up the efforts to bring our soldiers home when the generals decide it is safe to do so. Obama does not care about the progress our military has made in these years. He wants to end the occupation now. I think a lot of people are voting for him because of that reason. But I really believe that the decision should be left to the experts, not Obama
