When the Democrats dominated Congress, they began their unified effort in launching "Obamacare" into law:
1) Create inflation---a gutsy move, given the "wars" we're mired in. By creating more inflation, prices rise---along w/ Federal and State SALES TAXES, bringing in MORE tax money. Democrats got busy at this by:
a) Stock market manulipulation of oil stocks---as we now know they DO have some cozy deal made with the U.S. oil stock market regulators. When per gallon gas prices rise, so do ALL petro oil based product prices. And this alone creates a huge "ripple effect" that bled into other across board consumer prices on purchased goods and/or services.
b) Increasing the minimum wage standard--a supportive measure to moderate rising prices.
c) Increase SALES taxes on "vice product" goods---tobacco being their biggest target, joining the uber-liberal anti-smoking movement. Democrats also had plans to attack the soda drink industry AND they got eyes on cornering digital communications networks.
2) Secure Obamacare's existence into law. This effort alone became their biggest effort---and what they didn't do to make their dream happen!! Bill Clinton's "socialized medicine act" finally made it onto law books; his dream finally came true.....but at a dire price.
3) Secure overall long term inflation. This keeps Obamacare alive---least that IS what the Democrats, especially Obama, believe. The deeper in debt America becomes, the less likely the Republicans will find fast success deactivating Obamacare and stripping it out of existence.
The Democrats ( includes Obama ) NEVER wavered from their convictions; they just kept with them against the wishes of VOTERS, be they Republican OR Democrat. It's not a fun time to be a Democrat these days---when their state's VOTERS are poised to NOT vote for their re-election!!

He did when he rammed Obama Care through behind closed doors. Now that the dreaded 1099 is part of our lives, under reported tax will be a thing of the past. They were going to increase revenue by letting the Bush tax cuts expire, not by passing some new tax hike.
