How do you feel about medical marijuana and Obama's new policy?

President Obama has loosened the guidelines for medical marijuana. Do you support or oppose it? Please give details. Do the pro's out weight the cons? How do you feel about medical marijuana and Obama's new policy? The only thing that has changed is that the feds cannot impose themselves on states who have made it legal for medicinal purposes. More power to the states!!!

This is testament to the fact that Obama is allowing states to take more control over their jurisdictions without federal intervention.

More states should get on the bandwagon now and pass legislation and thus gain the potential revenue this new market will open up.

More legislation needs to be done regarding protection of usage and marketing of the product.

Turning law enforcement away from this issue may not be an easy task even in light of this new policy. Strict enforced oversight and regulation is needed to protect users and distributors of medicinal marijuana.

We need to grant distributors and their suppliers certified state licensures. How do you feel about medical marijuana and Obama's new policy?
I dont think there is anything wrong with Obama loosening the guidelines! I think people, especially the chronically ill, should have this right! I know so many people who really need this for mental balances, or because they are in chronic pain. My father, for example, has a diabetes and a spinal problems. His spinal problems have caused his arm to go completely numb, and his diabetes has caused his legs to become weak and he gets spasms constantly from this. He has seizures and often cannot move without constant pain. He started smoking marijuana medicinally, and since then, he feels so much more comfortable. His quality of life has improved so greatly since this, that he started doing some of the things he loves again. He started fishing again, doing some light woodwork, and even started taking care of animals who lost their mothers again. His outlook on life is so positive now.

I have seen the positive benefits to this law being in effect, and I think it is nothing but good! They should take into consideration the doctors who are prescribing this, however, because like every other law and procedure in this society, people take advantage of the system. There should be more to getting a medical card than just telling the doctor you have anxiety. How do you feel about medical marijuana and Obama's new policy?I support it but I'd really like to see more regulations on it. Especially regarding dispensaries here in Cali. There's to many in some areas and none in others. Some abuse the privilege while other do not. The one's who do are being counter productive to for the push to end prohibition.

Cannabis should be legal, though controlled, taxed, and regulated. The benefits far out weigh any and all negatives. Studies are already available that provide evidence that Cannabis is far less of a health hazard the all of the legal, yet control substances on the market.

Dispensaries should be controlled and regulated by the state. There should also be a limit per capita. Legalizing would create create jobs, revenue for the local population, tax revenue, while also freeing up revenue for law enforcement and prison systems. Also by creating a legal Cannabis industry, which includes Hemp, the United States would put a huge dent in the illegal drug trade industry.

Let's not forget that legal Cannabis would allow for a legal Hemp industry. Hemp products have proven to be durable, cost effective, and environmentally friendly. Many Hemp based products are far superior to today's synthetic fibers.
I support legalizing marijuana. No, I don't smoke it but I just don't believe it should be banned at all. But it is nice to know sick people/chronically ill who smoke it for relief, will not be prosecuted. How do you feel about medical marijuana and Obama's new policy?Oakland CA just started to tax it.How do you feel about medical marijuana and Obama's new policy?
not prosecuting the sick? yes i think it's a great idea.
