Why does Obama want to increase taxes which will lead to even more job loss in our weak economy?

John McCain does NOT want to increase taxes at all! HE HAS SAID THAT!

But Obama wants to increase taxes on small and large businesses, which will lead to job loss and decreased benefits for the middle class worker!

What happens is small and large businesses will have to cut back on jobs and good benefits in order to pay the higher taxes. This means that the middle class blue-collared worker would not only lose good benefits, but could even lose there jobs! Why does Obama want to increase taxes which will lead to even more job loss in our weak economy?Obama comes from Illinois, the highest, or one of the highest taxed states in the country. He believes higher taxes and bigger government will save us, like most liberals and democrats do. It's crazy.

Lower taxes means more money in our pockets which means we spend more, which means a boost to our economy. It's just plain common sense. Why does Obama want to increase taxes which will lead to even more job loss in our weak economy?
I am sorry to say this, but you really have no idea about economics. It's a little more complicated than you think. Investment of the public sector (financed by taxes) is in times of recession (like now) the most effective way to stimulate the economy. Or are you going to stimulate the economy by spending all your savings?

Public investments in infrastructure projects have a so-called multiplier effect - they generate private investment and jobs. Investments in military spending do not have that effect. Why does Obama want to increase taxes which will lead to even more job loss in our weak economy?First of all, if you ever bother to go to college and study economics, you will learn that taxes are not the first thing that companies consider when deciding to expand or downsize. They do consider them, but the differences here are not significant enough for companies to decide to downsize due to taxes.

Most small businesses will get a tax break not an increase.
Most people in US work for small businesses.

Obama said that he will cut taxes for 95% of small businesses. Actually, the number is 98% because 98% of small businesses make less than $250,000 per year. Obama will further cut taxes on small businesses for 2 years when a small business creates 6 new jobs in an urban area or 3 new jobs in a rural area. Why does Obama want to increase taxes which will lead to even more job loss in our weak economy? He can take the money and spend it on government programs for the jobless.

This includes a wide mixture of people who are too lazy to work and people who lost their jobs because high company taxes leaves little to pay the employees.

So

Your company has to pay for being successful

They don't have money to pay you

You lose your job

Obama gives you welfare!

It all works out.Why does Obama want to increase taxes which will lead to even more job loss in our weak economy?
Republicans cling to this myth of trickle down economics, and despite having a recession-near-depression on our hands, will admit that no amount of evidence shows they are wrong.

Bush's tax cuts have led to months of stellar jobs performance, but you'd have to pick up a newspaper to find out something like that.

McCain want's people who are already making millions to make a few million more. While funding 3 endless wars.

You can't have it both ways.
Everyone in the financial industry knows this is a horrible idea at this point to raise taxes, Wall Street shudders the thought of an Obama presidency. Eighty percent of CEOS are voting for McCain not Obama. Why can't people see what this guy is all about? I guess a lot of his support comes from uneducated %26amp; unemployed, who could care less, and Obama is looking out for them. Why does Obama want to increase taxes which will lead to even more job loss in our weak economy?
Obama started off his campaign trying to drum up a few votes by stating that he will tax the rich and make certain the middle and lower classes are "taken care of." Since then the economy has tanked but true to form, Obama contiues to spout his rhetoric. It shows the guy isn't very flexible.
Obama is NOT going to raise the taxes on small businesses...or large one's because he is going to provide an incentive for them to bring jobs to the community through a tax cut to bring back those jobs from overseas...But, IMHO, conservative trickle down theories DO NOT work...there has been nearly 30 years of that "test" and the results are in...TAX CUTS DON'T PAY FOR THEMSELVES...The results of conservatives is that they DO A SLEIGHT of HAND...with their BORROW n' SPEND philosophy....in which they give tax cuts and spend for wars and other issues through....BORROWED money and leaving the taxpayer on the hook for the bill...WE Can't afford more of the same....failed REAGANOMICs theory...and Economists understand this point as well.
Red says, "Any economic expert will tell you that Obama has the wrong idea." She's lying.

Two large scale surveys of economists have been conducted, and in both surveys, the economists overwhelmingly said that Obama has the better economic plans.
He believes that only government can and should provide the services and that any means to take money from the wealthy (like business owners or two wage couples) and to redistribute to those that dont have money is good. Its just what he believes - read his books.
No one WANTS to raise taxes.

And you left out a few facts about Obama's tax plan.

You also failed to mention McCain is going to tax your healthcare benefits for the first time in history,

Do your homework before posting please.

what about the money and tax credits he wants to give. if they would not have spent a trillion dolllars on the war in 1 year and now 700 billion to the rich to bail them out he wouldnt ask for it.
"Why does Obama want to increase taxes"

What other way will Obama fund his 840 Billion in new programs.

This 840 Billion in new spending will be over and above all current spending.

that is not true, go to fact check .org and get the truth. Under Obama , Making 250 or less u will get 3 times tax cut than McCain's plan.He is not increasing Business taxes.
wrong

This is a talking point, he wants tax credits to small business making less than 250k a year which is most small business... plus he wants to invest in solar wind and geothermal which will create jobs
Any ecnonmic expert will tell you that Obama has the wrong idea.

You have assessed the issue perfectly!
Because he needs your taxes for his planned 1 trillion of new governmental spending.
Maybe it has to something to do with a national debt of over $10T and rising at $500B per year.

He want's to be robin hood, steal from the rich and give to the poor.

Vote democrat it's easier then working.
Because he is a democrat
why does mccain want to give tax cuts to the wealthy?

because that seems really fair
I really, really did like Obama for a while. By the way, let me just say I hate John McCain. At no point in this rant will I tell you to vote for John McCain. We are in a very dangerous situation. What we need in this next presidency is a leader who does not want to score cheap political points and keep a failing economic ideology buoyant for another decade. Obama does not represent change because he will open the borders back up and exacerbate our problem, take money away from those who have shown they are best at managing and creating it, expand services to the greediest, laziest most uneducated "first world" country on the planet that is in clear and present danger of becoming the first world no longer, and because he believes that government intervention will solve our problem, when obviously, government intervention is part of what created it. Now I agree that we needed oversight but we also needed Acorn and other minority pressure groups not imposing socialistic doctrines on our system. Remember, both Hoover and Roosevelt did very similar things that Bush and now Obama will be planning to do, and they both did far more harm than good. Read your history, understand the facts. We are not in this situation merely because of lack of oversight. We are in this situation because of a ridiculous loose credit policy by the fed, the false belief by a number of liberal officials that all non-white people should own homes, and urging by the federal government to spend, spend, spend. Similarly, Hoover did not have a laissez-faire philosophy as democrats like to contend and pretend so that they can take more power for themselves, which is hard for the populace to take back, and **** the country up worse. In fact, he was the most interventionist president ever up to that point. We need the option of a fiscal conservative to run the country for the next four years, and unfortunately John McCain just does not represent that. We are in big trouble because Barack Obama really might be the next f*cking Franklin D. Roosevelt. He may prolong a terrible economic situation by doing more and more to keep an economy that needs correction buoyant, thrusting us into a state of disaster. A large portion of the solutions are not really that complicated, if we had a candidate who understand economics, which we do not. Barack Obama, perhaps more than anyone else, is the wrong wrong man for the job, but we don't have anyone to elect for it. So, as if you did not already know, America is in big, big trouble, and all the talk about the "greatest country in the world" has been in jeopardy for fifty years and now our worst nightmares are coming to fruition. Oh yeah, and high taxes are never good for the economy, as a general rule. There are benefits to quality of life in the short run, but only if they outweigh the costs which they rarely do do they provide real benefits because there is a loss to the total wealth as a whole, and given that government competes with no one, and is prone to overspend and be inefficient, which is sadly evidenced by our current situation, congress and executive branch it is generally a bad idea to take from the people. So, we are in big trouble and high taxes are probably not a good thing, but they could provide relief to some black people, and redistribute wealth to the underprivileged, and since we know that is what Obama is all about, it'll probably make him happy.
Obama is out for Obama. He wants to be a king! The democrats can not seem to hear nor see this. Just like the bible says, there are people that are blind to and can not hear the truth.

If everyone were to first stop putting blame of failure, taking of sides because of it and put aside the labeling of Democrat/Republican and

look inside to what is really being said. I pray they do! Look at the pros and cons of each side.Listening carefully to the transpiring of what is going on in the banking world ( being taken over by you know who)

The the words out of Obama's mouth about health care and how they can get it through the government.when McCain came back on what he had said. Obama says," I said if you already had a health care plan you could just keep it." Eventually, under his plan he will make it so easy that everyone will think its good and join in. Or be forced by corrupt means to join in with the Gov-. Whether it be Taxes, health care, state funding, Obama is not the right choice. This country will go to ruin if he is elected. It's going to be rougher than what it is now.

I'm sorry to have to say it...we seem to be suffering enough already!

Nothing against McCain as a person. But...

COUNTRY FIRST is the motto of the Republicans. If I were a Republican candidate, with some health issues, if COUNTRY FIRST was my motto, I wouldn't remotely dream of Sarah Palin to be my backup if something happens to me.

Is that caring about the country? Is that putting COUNTRY FIRST? :)
