If the Obama family had paraded five children out at the convention floor including an unmarried high school student, what do you think the public reaction would have been? Would it have been the glowing accolades for supportive motherhood? They would have judged harshly. Bill O' Reilly would have said that Barack and Michelle were pinheads. I really don't think Obama could have run for president with that kind of "scandal". And, there would be talk on the side of how common it is for a black teenage girl to be pregnant out of wedlock...you know, another welfare case for the tax payers to support. Add: By public abortion I don't mean they would televise it. I mean there would be lots of faux interviews to promote why having an abortion was such a good decision along witrh doctors explaining the procedure as though they had removed a cancerous tumor.
I strongly believe that families of the candidates should not be involved in the campaign. In Canada, we hear nothing about Mrs. Harper or Mme. Dion or Mrs. Layton (thank goodness).

The press and public would have torn her up based on the fact that black women are type cast having a lot babies and being unwed is normal. I am not an Obama supporter and I do not like Michele at all,but since he is going for the #1 spot I am glad she did not project this image. As for Palin,no problems with the five children,but I have a problem with the unwed pregnant one.But then again, she is only going for #2,my FOCUS is on McCain.
