If it is WAR ,will Obama send Americas troops into Columbia to fight and die for that rotten drug infested third world Country? Is Obama going to start a war between Venezuela and Columbia?Chavez is slightly insane. We don't really have the troops to send.
I wonder what a war between these two countries would do to the price of skiing. Is Obama going to start a war between Venezuela and Columbia?
Well there is a lot of oil in Venezuela isn't there? Is Obama going to start a war between Venezuela and Columbia?you never know, Im worried about him starting a war right in america with his policies, spending and gov take overIs Obama going to start a war between Venezuela and Columbia?
No, Chavez is. I'm wondering if his claims of the US trying to get rid of him will turn into self-fulfilling prophecy when he pushes us too far some day. An attack on Columbia would be his end.Is Obama going to start a war between Venezuela and Columbia?I don't know, but that would leave us stuck in the middle!
At least with President Bush, we have a out!!Is Obama going to start a war between Venezuela and Columbia?
Obama? Colombia has a much larger standing army than Venezuela does. Hugo Chavez is a baffoon and is losing his political strength in his own country. Venezuelans do not want war with their neighbors. He's allied with Equador and Bolivia, who can't offer much except massive quantities of cocaine on the black market. He's got Cuba's support, but they are no threat. Of course, Colombia isn't much better. Obama has little influence in South America, or any other American diplomat. Most nations, except for Brazil and the current junta government in Hondorus, are socialist-leaning and can't stand American influence. We will not send troops into South America unless Mexico is somehow invaded by Venezuela. Chavez might be a lunatic, but he isn't suicidal.
That is a very interesting question. A little while back a group of hostages were extracted from the FARC without firing a shot. The country that performed that mission was Columbia and the country funding the FARC was Venezuela.
A key hostage extracted, Anita Bettencourt. a Columbian political candidate taken with American contractors. There are some who suggest that Chavez uses terrorists groups to expedite his interest in the regions.
They are doing what Mandela did in apartheid Africa he created a organization that would draw domestic and national attention to a issue that effects them locally. In the case of Columbia they are embarrassing Venezuela who has supported the FARC and made them look compromised regarding terrorists without firing a shot.
I think the one who talks the toughest usually doesn鈥檛 have the fire power or support to win the war. In the case of North Korea state secretary Hillary Clinton called it right when she implied they are a step child who acts out when the don鈥檛 get attention. They know that China would protect them and that the United States in debt has to tread lightly, when it comes to rebuking them.
The reality is in the case of this there is not pending war, Chavez is again appealing to international support through blustering in the same logic as Kim Jung. To suggest that Columbia is horrid because of the drug trade is missing the finer point of Chavez and his oil company in the United States with a new one in the making. I wouldn鈥檛 believe a word out of Chavez鈥檚 mouth he鈥檚 a man who used Cindy Sheehan to stir press.
