The media is "outraged" over the Congressman who called Obama a liar. The same media thought it was hilarious when G.W. Bush had shoes thrown at him. One is a verbal attack while the other was a physical attack. By the way I think BOTH attacks were disgusting. I'm just amused over how differently the two events are being covered by an obviously liberal biased media. Do you remember when congress booed Bush's State of the Union address. The press loved it.



The difference now is that the press loves Obama. The press is attacking anyone who criticizes Obama as being a racist, an extremist, or a kook.Is it a hypocritical different response to Obama being called a liar and Bush having shoes thrown at him?
I'm disgusted by the blatant double standards shown by the liberals and and the media.

The person who threw the shoes at Bush was not a member of the US House of Representatives nor was he an American citizen. The only media who made fun of the shoe throwing incident was late night talk shows.
Maybe because it was a Congressman who heckled the President and it was an Iraqi journalist who threw shoes at GW.Is it a hypocritical different response to Obama being called a liar and Bush having shoes thrown at him?
Bush had shoes thrown at him in Iraq because he invaded their country. That was between Iraq and Bush. An American citizen calling a President a liar on the floor of the Senate is inexcusable. When the Democrats heckled Bush when he was discussing Social Security, they were criticized the same way Joe Wilson is getting criticized now. The media's been very unbiased on this.
The one that threw the shoe wasn't even American let along a congressmen.
It's really simple...



When a LIBERAL does something "hostile" it's called "passion".



When a Conservative does something "hostile" it's called "OUTRAGEOUS".



Not one - not 2 but 3 DOZEN - Congressmen BOOED BUSH - when he told the TRUTH about Social Security needing REFORM.



No words of "decorum violations" were uttered.



This president makes a HABIT of lying to us.... and congressmen who are PEOPLE TOO - are SICK and TIRED of it... as are the rest of us.



Libs have very short memories... except they remember when BUSH was in OFFICE - enough to blame them for their current spending habits.
One was simply a manic out of control Representative shouting down the President when he should have just sat on his hands, the other an outraged human being showing the utmost disrespect in his Country for a man who was responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of his countrymen and women. Yes, there is a difference.
FIRST a American did not throw shoes at Pres Bush SECOND most of the libs were outraged over the shoe throwing your right both attacks are disgusting and last some right nuts are praising Wilson for what he did and want him for Pres
Throwing shoes at President bush was battery at the very least, and the left shouted in delight. This was an attack, feeble as it was, upon a sitting American president.



Calling Obama a liar was merely disrespectful and against the etiquette of the Joint chamber of congress.



Booing a sitting American president during a state of the union address however is acceptable, especially when the entire democratic caucus does it.



One man calling Obama what he is - that is just plain unacceptable.
When President Bush gave his State of the Union address in 2005 he was booed by the Democrats. Also in that year Harry Reid called Bush a liar and has never apologized for it.
Maybe because the president is a LIAR... wake up people, read the bill %26amp; no I am not a racist %26amp; no I am not a right wing nut job , I can read, the bill does not say that it gives illegals coverage but it does not forbid it either %26amp; the loop holes will more than allow for it... how sad that we have all been so divided by the "great unifier" what a joke he is...
Both are rude. There have been pies thrown at Conservatives who are making a speech (by invitation). Liberals loved that and loved the

shoe being throw at Bush, but they're the first to scream about

a Conservative saying "liar". But, politeness and correctness have

gone out the window, so to speak.
I thinks it disgusting that you can even compare the two incidents..

The Obama incident was a disgruntled representative,more or less protecting the interest of insurance lobbyist that contributed to his campaign,and the Bush incident was a disgruntled Iraqi who felt Bush

destroyed his country and killed thousands of his fellow country men. The irony of the congress mans out bust was former President Bush

can be trace to well over two hundred lie's concerning the Iraq war,

and not one GOP member ever screamed liar!

No doubt the liberal comedians did make fun of the Iraqi incident,but you could not supply me one link to a liberal news paper or T.V. station,that didn't report it how it happened.
To be it is ridiculous how anyone could compare Bush to Obama when Bush created so many problems and Obama is the one cleaning it up. When Clinton went into the white house it wasn't such a drastic change as compared to Bush-%26gt;Obama and so he could get more done with less criticism. I am a liberal if you have not yet guessed, but I see no fault in Obamas actions thus far except for appointing SM to the supreme court.
