Should Obama stick to his original plan of the wealthiest 2% sharing the burden of the deficit?

Republicans have met with defeat on the health care Law. Then they have suffered another blow with the Ryan Bill which wants to do away with Medicare and social security eventually. Now the people see they only want to protect the wealthiest 2%, and Wall Street.Yes Obama should stick with his oringinal demand. The Republicans have everything to lose through the debt ceiling debate.Should Obama stick to his original plan of the wealthiest 2% sharing the burden of the deficit?Yes, even though I will personally be hurt by the failure of the Republicans to raise the debt ceiling in time I am willing to pay that price to protect Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and the Veterans Disability payments in the long run.Should Obama stick to his original plan of the wealthiest 2% sharing the burden of the deficit?
I like the president's talking points, the wealthiest have gained the most over the last ten years and can best afford a tax increase.

Republicans have renamed the wealthy as "job creators" who have created jobs overseas with their breaks in the tax laws.

Bottom line - polling shows the public is on board with Obama in having the wealthiest 2% share the burden. Republican hard liners will not accept either a tax increase or the blame for a default. What we will get is what Obama asked for in the first place - a simply piece of legislation increasing the debt ceiling!

It's a lose lose situation for Boehner!Should Obama stick to his original plan of the wealthiest 2% sharing the burden of the deficit?Yes and don't buckle under any pressure. He can raise the debt ceiling by executive order to protect our money situation. We should fight till we can retake the House and increase our seats in the Senate and then stiffen the penalties of big business for screwing the working man. Just think of how many jobs would have been lost if the US auto industry went under. Remember, it's not only the manufacturers but the thousands of makes of parts and businesses that service those cars. Look what's happening in Wisconsin. They're mad as hell and getting rid of the Republicans as fast as they can before the Republicans lock them out of voting.
According to IRS Data, the top 1% of wage earners in this country pay 38% of the taxes. The top 5% pay 58.7% and the top 25% pay 86% of the taxes taken in by the Internal Revenue Service. The bottom 40% of wage earners pay 0% in income taxes.

If Obama and liberal Democrats keep taking money from "the rich", then what would you suggest we do when "the rich" have no more money to take? As Margaret Thatcher once said, "Socialism is wonderful until you run out of other people's money".Should Obama stick to his original plan of the wealthiest 2% sharing the burden of the deficit?Yes its way over due.And all the fear tactics wont work this time.Id rather take my chances with Obama than them because we absolutely know where their loyalties lie.In the Banks and oil and wall street.Main street has no chance with out them paying their fair share. And they want more and more from the little guys and gals. Its too much.Should Obama stick to his original plan of the wealthiest 2% sharing the burden of the deficit?
Yes, yes he should. as he has said before, we need raised taxes for sufficient revenue; only cutting spending, isn't going to do it. and now h\is oppositions just need to come forth and compromise
Yes, the richest got a pass during Bush - time to pay their fair share.Should Obama stick to his original plan of the wealthiest 2% sharing the burden of the deficit?
Sure if he wants to start bouncing checks
Got a calculator?
Yes, the country has been much worse off since the Bush tax cuts.
