Is Obama going to put a salary cap of $500k per year on professional athletes the same as on executives?

Obviously, in Obama's mind, no one needs to earn more than $500,000 per year. And yes, professional sports teams are subsidized by the government. Usually in the way of facilities to play in and in some cases tax breaks. Is Obama going to put a salary cap of $500k per year on professional athletes the same as on executives? Were those sports facilities recipients of the bail out money? I highly doubt it. Executives of corporations who accepted government bail out money will have their salary capped. Why should they be making millions on the tax money I gave them? Why is that so hard for you to understand? Is Obama going to put a salary cap of $500k per year on professional athletes the same as on executives?
are they getting a bailout? c'mon. Is Obama going to put a salary cap of $500k per year on professional athletes the same as on executives? No, they aren't getting tax payer money. No bail out. No stimulus.
Why not?Is Obama going to put a salary cap of $500k per year on professional athletes the same as on executives? Not the federal government chief...

Obama is President of the federal government.

Obama has said that if you're asking for a bailout then you shouldn't earn more than that because you aren't truly "earning" it with your performance.

Stadiums are subsidized because of the revenue they bring to the cities and states they're located in. Its a trade-off.Is Obama going to put a salary cap of $500k per year on professional athletes the same as on executives?
Just Hockey players. They're all rich white boys anyway...who cares about them.
Another republican myth about to become fact...Is Obama going to put a salary cap of $500k per year on professional athletes the same as on executives?
he should call it the "Fairness Salary Act" and it should apply to singers, actors, professional athletes. No one should make over 500,000 a year.
Obviously, you're an idiot...sport's franchises are not sucking the government's teet to stay afloat...DUH! No one..and I mean NO ONE..has anything against companies that are successful and, if they are, can pay whatever they want to pay their employees. What your pathetic attempt at thought seems to miss is the difference between an independantly viable company and one that needs the taxpayer's help to stay afloat due to their own mismanagement. There, my pathetic little Limbaugh following friend, lies the difference. (FYI, Obama makes more than his Presidnetial salary, too.)
He is not bailing out the sport pros's.
No. Not everyone can be a professional athlete. Professional athletes have special skills and talents. Sleazy, lazy, corrupt bankers who lose a lot of money and don't do anything to help society are a dime a dozen. There are actually many skilled and talented financial experts who could easily replace the sleazy, lazy, corrupt bankers running the bailed out banks, and run them quite well---at $300,000 per year max. Not only that, but the banks would start to actually perform as they should. If the caps get rid of the sleazy, lazy, corrupt, bailed-out bankers because of the salary caps, I think that would be a good thing. Besides, who would want to hire sleazy, lazy, corrupt bankers elsewhere, anyway? They have nowhere to go. I personally don't think they even deserve unemployment insurance. I think they should be investigated and be forced to pay back all the money they ripped off from the banks.
Only if they partake in the bailout.

Perhaps you should have thought this question through??
Obama has no authority in what a private franchise pays their athletes. If it ever comes to the point where he does;we're in more trouble than you'll know.
dang thats such a dumb idea. i mean yea sports players are overpaid but it's not the gov's business.

and america was built on crazy tycoons looking for riches.

its taking away the american dream if you say you are not allowed to make this much money, i don't care how effort you put into it.

money is a reward, you cap the money, you cap the effort put into commerce, the economy suffers, and the consumer suffers
