In fact he implemented many of the things FD"R got credit for. But took years to see the effect. Unless he does something very magical. I expect it could be 4 to 8 years fixing the economy. The thing now is everyone eants a cut of the bail out. And there isn't enough to spread around. Possibly another WPA project could help. I know I will get thumbs down for this answer. I don't agree with this answer either just an idea .



If I were Obama and I wanted to complete change America. Then I would let it sink into depression. Nowadays that would create civilian unrest, for national security I would enact martial law. I would then create more government programs as a way of getting America through this crisis but my real intention is to create more dependency on the government. The people will be so grateful that they won't care what other laws I and congress will enact and they won't be paying attention as they will be constantly worried about themselves and their families.
lets see give up his house, steal things from the rich to buy that lady patty her car and pay her mortgage, let other ppl more intellectual and have more experience do the work for him ....oh but of course he will take the credit if it goes right and won't if it goes wrong.
