Besides he agreed with his wife to quit smoking if he ran for president. It takes time to quit and as far as I heard he was doing a pretty good job at it. Obama stopped smoking a year or two ago, not that it would matter if he hadn't: only the ignorant think that not being able to quit is indicative of weakness.
