God, you can absolutely smell their desperation! There are no negatives to Obama being president as he's going to clean up the mess of the past 8 years and put this country back on track. He's going to renew our trust to the rest of the globe and restore our abilities to travel abroad without persecution. Health care for working families who cannot afford it or are not offered it. I see a record number of college graduates under his administration with his repayment plan. Making this country stronger and able to compete with the rest of the world. I see an end to the senseless occupation of Iraq, a once SOVEREIGN nation. The capture or killing of bin laden will happen under an Obama administration. I see respect from the leaders of other countries towards our president because they will know where he came from and what he had to overcome to get to where he is. I can go on forever.

Well, almost a year into Obama's presidency he has don'e nothing but make things worse for America. Healthcare may be a problem in our country, but his healthcare reform idea would only hurt our economy more because American tax payers would have to pay out so that others could have healthcare.

What are some advantages and disadvantages of Obama being president?You can never truly know. The biggest thing about Obama being president is that most of Congress is Democrat and hopefully that makes it easy to get bills passed that support Americans. Most things just get argued about and never settled. Obama is younger than McCain so hopefully he is more in touch with the younger generation of America. McCain is really truthfully more of the same we've had for the last 8 years. It is not that Obama is saying it that makes it true it is because McCain's campaign and history truthfully show that he'd make decisions that would not improve the economy or our image in the world. We don't know that about Obama and right now people would rather take a chance on uncertainty than vote for a positive increase of negativity growing within our country.
Disadvantages: Socialism (this is a horrible program!), one of the things he has said he would do is take away the union members right to a private vote, health care progam (I don't have enough time or space for this one), higher taxes for those making over $200,000. (My husband and I are sole proprietors, and would be getting this tax hike. We would have to lay off to make ends meet)



Benefits: He is genuinly likable, which has gotten a lot of Americans interested in politics. He seems very devoted to family, which is a great example.

Advantage- The average American will pay about $500 less per year in taxes. Better compensation for better teachers. Taught constitutional law for 12 years, so he knows how to uphold the constitution.



I admire this person for asking for opinions to hopefully make a more educated decision, but I don't think they should be aloud to vote. I think that you should be able to spell the word "president" before you should be aloud to vote for one, unfortunately, this poster doesn't.

If you're a minority it will be a big advantage since you will surely get lots of new government programs to help you out. If you're an every day American you will be disadvantaged since you'll be paying for it in higher taxes.
the disadvantages with both candidates is i believe they need to rewrite their proposals and goals with the way things are going in the economy. i don't know how they are going to keep up with their promises.
