The recent lesson learned from the Swiftboat episode is that the candidate must immediately respond to attacks or appear detached and weak. So the approach being attacked on a soft issue with unsubstantiated claims is to react with similar unsubstantiated attacks. Is it any wonder we wind up being governed by incompentants?

I dont get this about the dems defense for arabs etc itss ok for them to kill the jews? is it ok for them to do that to their women , and to anyone who dosent agree with them as well? I guess as long as you have lower price gas nothing else matters? We do not know this guy, we only know what he has done, gone to church and learned how to speak , how would you consider hiring someone who has no experience, Hillary would at least know something about the real world, he may have some good ideas and I dont believe anyone wants war, but those are the things we have to deal with, do we need someone who is not strong on foreign policy, I dont feel he really knows what he is doing and I think alot of people feel the same. We have never has such a disastrous foreign affairs policy than now. It has not only cost us the strongest coalition since WWII but the respect of the world. Then the arrogant ignorant little weezle went begging to SA and saw how little support he has. We are under economic sanctions by OPEC

Obama not only appears strong on national defense and foreign affairs he is. He has the intelligence to realize that we can catch more flies with honey than vinegar. As far as National Defense, because of GWB we have none. We do not have enough troops to defend our borders. These are the times when we need the militia the second amendment calls for.

An honorable man would have humbly said to President Bush's statement, "I agree", and been done. This man took issue at a statement -not directed at him- and had a hissy fit! Well, if the shoe fits! Is this man paranoid or something? Yes, he's just like his dear uncle Rev. Wright with his "attack on me is on the Black Church" thing. Narcissistic, dishonest frauds! Both of 'em!
Obama's response, I think, has been exactly right. It was an inappropriate comment for Bush to make given where he was. Even more so, it was a false representation of Obama's stance on diplomacy.



The GOP will have a tough time "swift boating" Obama.
