So far, Obama has contributed roughly 1,500 national guard troops to the border to stop illegal immigrants from entering the U.S. I believe this is a good start, but it's just not enough. We need more border patrol agents, more cameras, and harsher punishments for illegals who do make into the states. What do you think? Is Obama doing enough to stop the flow of illegal immigrants into America? If you had read the article closely you would know that first off - no units have been selected for deployment nor has anyone figured out where they will be deployed to. Secondly - according to the incumbent none of the uniformed national guardsmen will be anywhere near the border nor will they have any ammunition for their weapons. The incumbent says they will be used only for support duties and preventing illegal drugs from entering the country (a difficult job as they will actually be no where near the border). No in my opinion the promise of troops on the border is merely a politician's trick to make it look as if he is doing something to solve a problem that the government he leads has done nothing about for decades. For a man who likes detailed time lines and dates none were mentioned for when the troops would be available. I'd wager that there will be none until after the November elections. He will say that the pentagon is studying where best to utilize the troops and this will go on for months. Nope, this is even less that a token start to solve the problem. This is nothing more than another promise that won't be kept. That's my take on it anyway. Good luck to youIs Obama doing enough to stop the flow of illegal immigrants into America?
WRONG.

US troops won't be used to stop illegal immigration: US
"US National Guard troops being sent to the Mexican border will be used to stem the flow of guns and drugs across the frontier and not to enforce US immigration laws, the State Department said Wednesday.
"The clarification came after the Mexican government urged Washington not to use the additional troops to go after illegal immigrants. "Is Obama doing enough to stop the flow of illegal immigrants into America?i don't generally condemn mexican laborers for escaping the prison that is mexico; i would do it myself. but i'm about to the point of thinking Calder贸n needs a Patriot suppository. he and his type are the reason so many escape to the north. now he says the troops on the border are a good thing; to stem the tide of guns being shipped into mexico. "as long as they do not interfere with mexican migrants crossing the border."
it is ludicrous that our border is so porous. we are at war.
First and foremost businesses that hire and encourage illegal workers need to be heavily sanctioned , and that includes white collar jobs, restaurants, hotels, meat processing and construction. There exists already a way to check the legal status of workers. End the jobs and you end the illegal workers. Cheap and easy.Is Obama doing enough to stop the flow of illegal immigrants into America?Okay here's the deal. Troops on the boarder does absolutely nothing, to be quite honest I am disappointed with Obama's action. If the Texan farmer wants cheap labor for two dollars an hour he's going to get it, troops or no troops. We need to step back and find a real fix to this problem. Is Obama doing enough to stop the flow of illegal immigrants into America?
As mentioned yesterday, this is just a PR move. They have orders not to interfere, just observe. Kinda like what Obama is doing with the Gulf oil problem.
Where is Obama's plan to stop illegal aliens from coming into America?? No Where.
The last time they sent national guard troops to the border their only role was to observe. Whoop Eeeee. Is Obama doing enough to stop the flow of illegal immigrants into America?
We have to get rid of the CAUSE of their illegal immigration, you can capture as many illegals as you want, but there still going to come.
Why would he stop potential dem voters.
If he can do it without breaking the bank, I say do it.
