Three points:
1) Obama will likely always have a fan base who continue to support him, just as Bush does to this day.
2) Even people who are disappointed by Obama will not necessarily conclude that McCain would have been any better.
3) A president can do a poor job and still be politically successful--and vice versa.How do you think Obama fans will react in four years if Obama does a really bad job?If he does a bad job, I'll probably vote for someone else in the 2012 Primary. Whether I do the same in the general election would depend on who the Republicans put up.
I'm proud to have voted for Obama, because I think he'll do a good job, but I have not been afraid to point out when I've disagreed with him (FISA is one example), and if I'm wrong, I'll say I was wrong and move on.
You know something is up when Sean Hannity is bashing republicans senators and house members for their support of Obama. I am extremely proud of the way most Americans are embracing him, It is time, we had eight years of Clinton bashing and eight years of George W bashing. It is time to put away this childish thinking...hope it last and I hope Obama is able to live up to the hype.

If obama messed up they probaly would review over the other runner up for president,think he/she will have better ideas,and they probaly will talk racial with obama cause theyll think hjaving a black president was bad,even though i think obama will make good changes and be on of the best,
His fanatical supporters will do one, all or a combination of these things, probably in this order:
1. stay silent.
2. deny that he is doing a bad job.

I'll react the way Bush fans should have reacted.
When a president does not do his job, he has to go.
For now, I have every confidence that Obama will do his job.

He's probably not gonna run for re-election, but i doubt that.
He's already scripted in history books.
If former President Bush's tenure and his supporters are any indication, we'll sit around and say how great Obama was for keeping us safe from nothing and forget all about the economy and the war.
Obama fans never say he failed. They say Bush fans or Repulican fans think that he failed. Obama fans say he has done a good job and will continue to do if we reelect him. And they vote for him.
If he fails, they blame it on Bush for ruining America to the state of no return and if he succeeds, Obama will be treated like a God.
No, he could fail terribly and they will vote for him anyways.

They will still blame Bush and the repubs. I really believe that they believe he can do no wrong.
