You are somewhat naive to think this. Obama is a first term senator with no practical experience at all. He has done nothing so far with his political career and only has "black" roots as a reason for poor and minority voters to support him. Exactly why do you think he is the best candidate ? What exactly has he done politically to make you think he was better then anyone else that ran this year ? Don't get caught up in the hype of electing the first "black" president.
You should vote for a candidate based on their record and performance. Base your decision on facts, not hype. If you, and the rest of America, did this, Obama would not even be in this position as he has nothing of record to show so far since he is still too new to politics.
