Is Obama's cigarette use counter to his responsibility to reduce health care costs? He smokes to assuage the guilt of his dishonesty, just as a slick salesman lights up prior to closing a shady deal.

Yeah. That's kind of oximoronish, but so is a lot of things he says.Is Obama's cigarette use counter to his responsibility to reduce health care costs?Yes! yet another nonsense question about Obama.
Its his right, just like every other person that smokes. Personally I think people that smoke smell like crap. I wont go to anyones house if they smoke inside. Is Obama's cigarette use counter to his responsibility to reduce health care costs? No, because you don't pay his medical bills. Smoking doesn't raise cost. If you really think so consider this......if everyone stopped smoking do you think YOUR health care cost would be less.Is Obama's cigarette use counter to his responsibility to reduce health care costs?
WOW - I didn't know he was a smoker but I'm not suprised after I heard about the racist book he authored where he promotes an African American subculture in our country where cursing constantly is absolutely normal and acceptable behavior. He says he wants to "purge" himself of his "whiteness." He's scary. I'm a mixed race person myself and I would never dream of purging myself of either one of my heritages. I value both and that's the way it should be.
Didn't you just ask this question? Who cares if he smokes once in a while, a presidential campaign has got to be pretty stressful. The biggest risk to Americans' health is obesity and no one can accuse Obama of that.Is Obama's cigarette use counter to his responsibility to reduce health care costs?
I smoke. I want to quit and will. But, whether a President smokes or not is his own business and not even remotely an issue
Meh - if that's his only vice I can live with it. Better a smoker who's sharp than a nonsmoker who's...George Bush.
And anyway didn't admit he's still smoking. He said several months ago that he'd fallen off the wagon a few times a few months before that. It's a bad example, but on the other hand it's a good example that he admitted it and that he quit again. It usually takes a few times.
We've had lots of presidents who have smoked. And McCain smoked two packs a day for 25 years himself.
Ironic to say they least. Not because of the health issue, but because of the politics of the tobacco industry.
You are an extremely judgemental person. Why don't you stop "answering" questions with smartassed comments like, "You should look at your textbook and figure it out yourself" Sweetheart, the whole point of Yahoo Answers is.....UH....I dont know....TO GET ANSWERS. It doesn't take a genius to figure that out, now does it? Or can someone so High and Mighty such as yourself not understand the concept of Q%26amp;A? Apparently not. You gave me a suggestion so here is one for you: stick to asking ridiculous questions such as this one and stop "answering" people's questions with your little opinions on things. I didn't come to Yahoo Answers to be judged for asking for help so try not to be so damn judgemental of people before you know the circumstances.......in your words......SHEESH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Serious question, but refreshingly funny too, somehow. At least Obama's cutting down on the smoking. And he keeps in good enough shape that he's probably helping counter the damage. But you're right. It's still a bad habit and a bad example.
We knew he had to be flawed somehow :-)
